Luetkemeyer Announces $367,000 Federal Loan for Affordable Housing in Crawford County

WASHINGTON, D.C. – October 14, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer today announced that Leasburg Senior Citizens Homes, Inc. has received a $367,292 Agriculture Department loan to preserve and revitalize exisiting rural rental housing properties.

The loan was made available through the Multi-Family Housing Revitalization Demonstration Program within USDA Rural Development. The program is designed to provide safe and affordable housing for low-income rural residents.

“During these tough economic times, this loan will be essential in assisting the residents of Crawford County who need it most,” Luetkemeyer said. “I am pleased that Leasburg Senior Citizens Homes and local residents will benefit from this needed loan.”

Luetkemeyer is a member of the House Agriculture Committee where he serves on two key subcommittees: the Subcommittee on General Farm Commodities and Risk Management and the Subcommittee on Conservation, Credit, Energy, and Research.
