Congressman Cleaver Accompanies President to Kansas City Area

Kansas City - September 25, 2013 - (RealEstateRama) -- Missouri’s Fifth District Representative Emanuel Cleaver, II, will be flying on Air Force One with the President tomorrow morning from Washington DC to Kansas City. The President and Congressman Cleaver will travel to the Ford Kansas City Stamping Plant in Liberty, where the President will continue to highlight economic progress throughout the country.

Summer Ends With a Dip, But Still Strong

WASHINGTON, D.C. - September 18, 2013 - (RealEstateRama) -- August is frequently a slower month for permits and this year was no different with 354 single family permits compared to 410 in July, according to the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City’s (HBA) monthly Residential Building Permit Statistics report. This month was still the third highest month of 2013 and the numbers are on target to surpass all the years since 2007. In fact, the year to date tally of 2,710 surpasses the total years of 2009, 2010 and 2011. Leading the way are Jackson and Johnson counties which are both up roughly 40 percent over last year. Jackson County has 507 permits year to date reflecting an increase of 142 over last year. Johnson County has 1,120 which is an increase of 318 over last year to date

Department of Economic Development announces new information technology company to locate to Kansas City

KANSAS CITY - September 18, 2013 - (RealEstateRama) -- The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) announced today that LightEdge Solutions, a colocation and information technology company owned by Anschutz Investment Company, will open a new regional office in Kansas City in the SubTropolis Technology Center, which is owned and operated by Hunt Midwest Real Estate Development. The company plans to make a $58,357,912 capital investment and create 21 new jobs.
