Blunt Announces $500,000 Community Development Block Grant for City of Fisk

FISK, MO – October 22, 2008 – (RealEstateRama) — Gov. Matt Blunt today announced that the city of Fisk has been approved for a $500,000 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) by the Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED). The grant will be utilized for wastewater system improvements.

The project will consist of repair and modification of Fisk’s existing wastewater treatment facility so that it will be capable of treating the designed wastewater loads with the proposed limits as determined by the Department of Natural Resources.

The CDBG program, administered by the Missouri Department of Economic Development, provides grants and loan funds to cities with a population under 50,000 and counties under 200,000 to assist in a variety of public works and economic development projects.
