Gov. Blunt Announces $450,000 Community Development Block Grant for Hamilton
HAMILTON – Gov. Matt Blunt today announced that the city of Hamilton has been approved for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for $450,000 by the Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED). The grant will be utilized for water system improvements.
The city plans to replace current water transmission lines throughout Hamilton that were originally installed approximately around 1923. Officials will also correct multiple problems at the Hamilton Reservoir Dam.
The CDBG program, administered by the DED, provides grants and loan funds to cities with a population under 50,000 and counties under 200,000, to assist in a variety of public works and economic development projects.
