Foreclosures decrease in Missouri, Kansas
Missouri’s number of foreclosures ranks it No. 12 among all states in May, compared with No. 11 in April. The state had one foreclosure for every 674 households in May, compared with one foreclosure for every 588 households in April.
Missouri had 3,615 real estate foreclosures in May, down 13 percent from 4,147 foreclosures in April, according to statistics released by Bargain Network.
Kansas had 289 foreclosures in May, down 20 percent from 360 foreclosures in April. Kansas ranks No. 36 in May, unchanged from April. The state had one foreclosure for every 3,903 households in May, compared with one foreclosure for every 3,136 households in April.
Nationally, the number of properties entering some stage of foreclosure n May was 149,000, up 6 percent from April.
