WASHINGTON, D.C. – April 25, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — The top local home builders were presented with the 2013 American Dream Awards. More than 250 people attended HBA’s Spring Awards Ceremony at The Gallery in the Power & Light District as the awards winners were announced.

Each spring local home builders compete for top honors in the awards competitions held in conjunction with the Spring Parade of Homes. The 51st annual Parade provided consumers the opportunity to visit 322 new homes throughout metropolitan Kansas City during the 16-day, three-weekend event that opened April 20 and continues through May 5.
The American Dream Awards are the premier honor for new home construction in the Greater Kansas City region. Builders’ entries were rigorously judged on architectural design, construction techniques, craftsmanship and selection of materials. Homes competed in categories based on price range. Teams comprising nineteen industry professionals from across the United States canvassed the Kansas City region April 19 and 20 to evaluate the entries. Twenty-two Grand Award winners were selected, and twenty-four First Runner-Up honors were awarded.
Homes are located throughout Greater Kansas City and are open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free. Homes are also online at www.KCParadeofHomes.com.
