Neighborhood Housing Services of Kansas City has named its interim executive director and former community affairs banking executive Turner Pettway as president, the organization’s Board of Director announced today. Pettway, a former NHS Board chair who had been serving as interim executive director since August 2015, comes to the organization with more than 20 years of experience in community development from Kansas City Neighborhood Alliance and U.S. Bank, and more than 10 years board service with NHS and a variety of organizations serving low- and moderate-income populations

Kansas City area homebuilders had their best November since 2007, with 15 percent more single-family permits issued than in November of 2014. The Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City reports 360 single family permits were issued last month, compared with 312 permits issued in November 2014.
