Missouri agencies seek $16 million in funding for homelessness prevention

November 3, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) -- Missouri Housing Development Commission (MHDC), which administers the Missouri Housing Trust Fund (MHTF), has received applications from agencies in the latest funding round in excess of $16 million. The agencies have requested MHTF monies for a variety of housing needs, including assistance to homeless shelters, providing rent subsidies and funds for emergency home repairs, and the construction and rehabilitation of low-income rental housing. $3.7 million in funding is available for allocation.

MHDC Helps More than 82,000 Missouri First-Time Homebuyers

Local Builder Stay Optimistic Despite Permit Drop

July 28, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) -- Monthly permit numbers declined slightly in April while year over year permit numbers continued a modest increase for the fourth consecutive month according to statistics compiled by the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City (HBA). A seasonally adjusted total of 194 single-family homes were permitted in April, down from a revised total of 207 homes in March.
