More than $17.8 million in stimulus funding awarded to Missouri for community development projects
September 22, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) -- U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill announced today that state of Missouri and 17 communities have been awarded a total of $17,819,557 in federal grant money through the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG). The money was made available through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The CDBG program helps states and local governments to undertake a wide range of activities intended to create suitable living environments, provide affordable housing and create economic opportunities.
