Name Change Re-Establishes Commercial Real Estate Women of Kansas City (CREW KC)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – June 29, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — The Kansas City Commercial Real Estate Women have elected to put CREW First! KC CREW is now CREW Kansas City (CREW KC).
Originally established in 1998 as KC CREW, new chapter bylaws approving the name change were adopted at the organization’s annual membership meeting held on Tuesday, June 23. The Kansas City chapter’s membership represents nearly every discipline within commercial real estate including law, brokerage, leasing, property management, finance, title/escrow, development, engineering, architecture, construction and more.
Chapter President, Julia Taylor said the change reflects the organization’s tie to a strong national network. “CREW’s national network brings together over 9,000 members in over 70 major markets. We wanted to emphasize the power of that network in Kansas City by officially aligning our name with the national organization.”
CREW KC’s annual golf tournament will be held on August 6 at Shoal Creek. Guests are welcome to visit the website for details.
CREW’s national headquarters are located in Lawrence, Kan. The CREW Network seeks to influence the success of the commercial real estate industry by focusing on fulfilling four key initiatives: business development, leadership development, industry research and career outreach.
CREW KC is a non-profit organization of commercial real estate professionals affiliated nationally through membership in the CREW Network, providing opportunities for networking, education, leadership development and civic/philanthropic involvement.
