“First step” toward making Missouri a leader in renewable energy

Saint Louis – Missouri voters today overwhelmingly voted to pass Proposition C, The Missouri Clean Energy Initiative. Tony Wyche, spokesman for Missourians for Cleaner Cheaper Energy, the campaign promoting passage of Prop C, issued the following statement:

“By passing Proposition C with such an overwhelming margin, Missouri voters today made crystal clear their desire for energy independence, new jobs, and economic investment in our state. Missourians took the first step toward expanding clean renewable energy in the Show-Me State and making Missouri a national leader in wind, solar, and other forms of clean energy.

“This is not the end of this effort, however, it is only the beginning. It is now up to the Missouri legislature to heed to will of Missouri voters by continuing to promote renewable sources of energy for the people of our state.”
