Blunt Announces $500,000 Community Development Block Grant for Livingston County

CHILLICOTHE, MO – October 16, 2008 – (RealEstateRama) — Gov. Matt Blunt today announced that Livingston County has been approved for a $500,000 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) by the Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED). The grant will be utilized for water system improvements.

Livingston County will utilize the CDBG for the construction of a 200,000-gallon elevated water tank and distribution system improvements.

The CDBG program, administered by the Missouri Department of Economic Development, provides grants and loan funds to cities with a population under 50,000 and counties under 200,000 to assist in a variety of public works and economic development projects.
