Jefferson City, MO - August 31, 2012 - (RealEstateRama) -- Attorney General Chris Koster announced today that Missouri has received more than $83 million from the joint state-federal mortgage settlement announced in February 2012.

Jefferson City, MO - August 31, 2012 - (RealEstateRama) -- Attorney General Chris Koster today said his office has obtained a criminal indictment from the St. Louis County grand jury against Jason Leavy for violating Missouri’s laws related to his home-repair business. Leavy, who also goes by the name Jason Aragon and Michael Aragon, is being charged as a prior and persistent offender for past actions related to home repair businesses. Recently he has operated as TriStar Roofing, Accurate Construction and Quality Roofing. He is currently being held in the St. Louis County jail with a bail requirement of $25,000.

Kansas City, MO - August 28, 2012 - (RealEstateRama) -- In cities across the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area, housing production continues to climb in 2012 with the second highest month this year, according to the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City’s (HBA) monthly Residential Building Permit Statistics report. July permits increased to 288 single family permits over 265 the previous month. Year to date total permits are the highest in three years with 2,323 permits compared to 2011 with 1,725; 2010 with 1,617; and the 2009 low of 1,207. Also of note in July is an 88 multi-family unit for an apartment complex in Lenexa.

(LPS). In February 2012, Koster obtained criminal indictments against DOCX related to its alleged role in the mortgage-document surrogate-signing scandal of 2010.

ST. LOUIS, MO - July 30, 2012 - (RealEstateRama) -- A St. Louis City building inspector was arrested early this morning on bribery charges. Anthony D. Davis, age 47, was indicted by a federal grand jury on Wednesday on two felony bribery counts. The indictment remained sealed until the arrest of the defendant this morning.

ST. LOUIS - March 27, 2012 - (RealEstateRama) -- The United States Attorney’s Office announced today that David Rubin, employee and operator of two local offices of Coral Mortgage Bankers Corporation, was sentenced to five years’ probation, six months home confinement, 200 hours of community service, and ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $1.2 million.

Jefferson City, MO - March 7, 2012 - (RealEstateRama) -- Attorney General Chris Koster said Eric Christian Gagnepain pleaded guilty February 29 to ten counts of securities fraud and nine counts of unlawful merchandising practices for his role in running the Greenleaf Companies and The Real Estate Company in Springfield. Gagnepain was indicted on those counts by a Greene County grand jury in February 2011.
